Introducing Linden May
She's as real as me.
I needed a place to tell different kinds of stories than the ones I’ve told before.
Linden May allows me to write the kinds of fiction that I might not have been brave enough to write otherwise. Some stories are like that. As a late blooming bisexual woman, I’m excited to share speculative WLW stories here under the name Linden May.
1. Because I want to write stories where the girls kiss.
“What are these girls getting into tonight?” Words I say to myself as I sit down with my latest sapphic romcom.
Words I say when I sit down to my computer to write a story where the bi babe gets turned into an vampire by a blind date and has a secret crush on her childhood best friend who just so happens to be a witch.
2. Because representation matters.
The first step to building the life you’ve always wanted is imagining that it’s possible. The older I get, the more I realize that sometimes that happens best through fictional stories.
3. Because sometimes different stories require a different kind of internet presence.
This is a Substack where I focus on queer characters in all their glory—because they deserve to be seen and loved and celebrated as the heros of their own stories.
4. If this interests you, join me!
It’s going to be sporadic at times, but it’s going to be fun. I’m mostly going to be writing as a contributor on Tell Me a Story, but there will be occasional cross posts and publishing updates here as well.
